<p>CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE AUDITIONING AFRICAN AMERICAN MALES, AGE 21-30, FOR CLASSROOM MATINEE TOURING PROGRAM</p>

<p><strong> </strong></p>

<p><strong>Cleveland Play House (CPH) </strong>is seeking a non-Equity African-American Male Actor, early to late 20s, for our unique Classroom Matinee Touring Program. This program brings live, professional theatre and theatre education programs to K-8 classrooms

 across Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Experience as a teaching artist is a plus, though not required. This is a paid position.</p>

<p><strong>A 17 week contract (January 5, 2015- May 1, 2015) is available. </strong>

Performances and related teaching takes place almost exclusively on weekdays, during school hours. Occasional overnight travel is required with housing and per diem provided by CPH.</p>

<p><strong> </strong></p>

<p>The actor will perform multiple roles, in two different, hour-long original productions. Actors should have strong command of voice and physicality, and ability to differentiate characters within the same production with minimal costume change.  In addition

 to performing, actors must be willing to conduct educational programs that accompany performances. Actors must also be able to lift 50lbs, have a valid driver's license and pass a Federal Background Check<strong>.</strong></p>

<p><strong> </strong></p>

Auditions are by appointment only, and will take place Wednesday, Sept. 24th, from 2-4pm,  in CPH's downtown rehearsal studios.

Actors should prepare a one to two minute monologue from a contemporary play.
