you. Do you want to gain valuable 21st- Century work skills through an
apprenticeship in the arts? Do you want to meet and work with teens from across
the city? Looking to have a meaningful experience (and add something unique to
your college applications)? Apply to ArtWorks today. You'll work in small
groups with about 10 other students, under the guidance of a master teaching
artist. You will practice time and project management, collaboration, professional
communication, problem solving, and critical thinking through the creation of
your own original art. As an apprentice, you will participate in workshops
addressing money management, resume writing and the college application
and financial aid process. At the end of the experience, you'll invite
your family and friends to see the work that you and the other apprentices also
have created.</span></p>

with some later evenings and Saturdays required)</span></p>

transportation to and from the program.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:12pt;background-image:initial;background-repeat:initial"><b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Pay:</span></b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif"> Apprentices are paid $8.10 per hour for their work
during the program.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:12pt;background-image:initial;background-repeat:initial"><b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Positions:</span></b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif"> Spaces for this opportunity are limited; 120 apprentice
positions are available, so students who are interested in applying are
strongly encouraged to make sure all parts of their application are complete
and received on time. <b><i>The apprentice positions are available
for rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.</i></b> Program offerings
may include jazz performance, digital game design, dance, fashion, visual art,
theater and more! <b><u>Application deadline is March 27 by 4:00 PM.</u></b></span></p>
