<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px">Three finalists have been chosen and will be presented in the 5<sup>th</sup> Annual Ronald M. Ruble New Play Festival on May 2, 2015, in the McBride Auditorium at BGSU Firelands College:
<em>What are Dreams Made Of? </em>by Lisa Sniderman, Aeode and Scrote, <em>The Duck Who Clucked
</em> by David Meyers and Veronica Reyes How, and <em>Lost Boy</em> by Kelly and Kevin Milnes. These finalists, chosen from a nationwide search for the most promising unproduced theatrical works relevant to youth today, will be presented in a staged-reading
format utilizing The Caryl Crane Youth Theatre troupe of teen actors. During this free festival, the finalists will be evaluated by a panel of industry professionals, our teen festival participants, and with an audience vote. The three votes are combined
and a Festival Winner will be chosen. That winning work will receive a $500 check from this year’s festival sponsor, The Huron Eagles, and an offer of a three-week workshop in the CCYT 2015-2016 season.

<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px">This year’s festival centers around the 2014 Ronald M. Ruble New Play Festival winning work,
<em>President Mom</em> by Becca Anderson. Performances of <em>President Mom</em> are April 29, 30 and May 2 at 7:30 pm.

<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px"><em>President Mom</em> introduces us to Claire McCallister, a typical teenage girl. She is stressed out about her bio exam and even more about finding a date to her high school's spring dance. This would be tough
for anyone to handle, but Claire's mother just happens to be The President of the United States. When Claire's Mom offers her the chance of a lifetime, to meet her rockstar idol, Claire jumps at the chance. The catch: Claire has to take Brent Baumgartner,
the nerdiest boy in school, to the dance. Still, she agrees to go along with her Mom's scheme, until a European Prince arrives and turns Claire's world upside-‐down. </p>

<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px"><em>What Are Dreams Made Of?</em> is a brilliantly inventive fantasy musical/rock opera-a meld of mythology, magic and music-for tweens and "kids at heart" of all ages who resonate with the fantasy genre (think Into
The Woods, Once Upon a Time, Harry Potter). In the magical kingdom of Wonderhaven, Aoede the Muse of Song is plagued with a terrible, haunting dream, and children are spirited away by a Siren. Aoede must explore realms of darkness and light, overland and underworld,
confront magical fairies, goblins and dream gods, and struggle to get to the heart of her dream. Rated PG.</p>

<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px">It's the first day of school in Bulaboo Forest, and Dewey Dwick and his classmates are going to learn how to make their animal sounds. But when Dewey clucks instead of quacks and a video of his failure ends up on
Zootube Dewey becomes the target of endless bullying from his entire school. Ostracized and alone, Dewey decides to run away, believing it's the only way to stop the torment. But with the help of his friends and family, Dewey learns how to stand up to the
bullies, use kindness to win them over, and accept who he is. Rated G. </p>

actually is. A haven for endless play or a trap for lost children? Hang on, it's gonna be an awfully big adventure... Rated PG.</p>

<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px"> </p>
<p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px">Each year Caryl Crane Youth Theatre hosts a national playwriting festival, showcasing new plays for young adults and children. A national search is currently looking for the best and most promising unproduced theatrical
works relevant to youth today. The festival, held the first weekend of May each calendar year, consists of 3 staged readings of previously unseen theatrical works and will take place in the McBride Auditorium on the BGSU Firelands campus in Huron, OH. A winning
work will be chosen through committee/audience/participant voting and the author(s) will receive a $500 cash prize as well as the option of a 3-week workshop of their production during the following CCYT season. </p>
