at the Wadsworth Shelter in Sand Run Metro Park located at 1400 Sand Run

</span></b>The play
tells the story of Alice, who is in her twenties and living in a small village
in England. Alice and her mother Joan are accused of witchcraft after an
altercation with their neighbors, followed by several mishaps upon their
neighbor’s farm - supposedly the result of Joan's "witchcraft.” <i class="">Vinegar Tom</i> examines gender and power
relationships through the lens of 17th century witchcraft trials. The script
employs features of the epic theater associated with German playwright Bertolt
Brecht, particularly the non-realistic use of songs.<o:p class=""></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br class="">
<b class="">About the Playwright:</b></p><p class="MsoNormal">Caryl Churchill is an English dramatist known for her use of
non-naturalistic techniques and feminist themes, dramatization of the abuses of
