Cleveland, Ohio, is the oldest multicultural theater in the United States.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now in its 100<sup><font size="2">th</font></sup> year, Karamu has
played an important role in the development of some of the great African
American artists, such as Langston Hughes, Ruby Dee, Robert Guillaume and
others.</span></font></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><font face="Calibri">The Board of Directors is seeking an Executive Director for
the organization who will be the chief executive officer of Karamu, reporting
and accountable to the Board of Directors.</font></p>
<p style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><font face="Calibri">Candidates must have significant experience in a performing
arts theatre and arts education programs, a track record of effectively
managing a million dollar plus budget and experience working collaboratively
with a board of directors and other volunteers.</font></p>
