Vance-Koch for Kodaly, Orff-Schulwerk and Dalcroze approaches to rhythm and

music. With an emphasis on strengthening the parent/child bond. Mrs. Vance-Koch

focuses on instrument improvisation, stimulating, sensory experiences relating

to sight, hearing and touch; the development of the voice through singing,

chanting and listening, and much more.</span></p>

offers a unique choral experience. The students develop their vocal skills,

learning proper breathing, vocal techniques and vocal posture. They also learn

music notation and relative pitch (using the Kodaly method). They gain self

confidence through individual performances and experience theatrical

productions ( i.e. The Nutcracker). The TrueNorth Children’s Choir allows

children to experience all aspects of music and encourages each child’s unique

creativity.</span></p>

of players will be taught the skills to develop into well-rounded musicians and

contributing members of their ensemble and surrounding community. Aspiring

youth will be coached individually and as a group, learning how to listen to

each other, improvisation, what it takes to play in sections, and much more.</span></p>

musical theatre, as well as learn ballet, jazz, and lyrical combinations.</span></p>
