<p style="font-size:15px"><strong>VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND
SPIKE </strong><br>
A Comedy by Christopher Durang </p>
<p style="font-size:15px">Master of humor Christopher Durang
presents the Chekov-esque story of a three middle-aged and
single siblings, two of whom live together. When the third
comes to visit, they discuss their lives and loves and the
fate of the family home. Winner of the Tony Award for Best
Play and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, among
other awards. </p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size:15px">VANYA – 50s, living in Bucks Co.
PA. Resigned to his life, more or less, at least compared to
Sonia </li>
<li style="font-size:15px">SONIA – his adopted sister, early
50s, living with him in Bucks County. Discontent, upset,
regretful </li>
<li style="font-size:15px">MASHA – his sister, 50s, glamorous
and successful actress who goes gallivanting around the
world</li>
<li style="font-size:15px"> SPIKE – an aspiring actor 29 or
younger, Masha's new companion. Sexy, self-absorbed, but
otherwise outgoing and energetic. </li>
<li style="font-size:15px">NINA – lovely, sincere would-be
actress, early 20s, visiting her aunt and uncle next door.
Star struck, earnest and energetic </li>
<li style="font-size:15px">CASSANDRA – cleaning lady and
soothsayer, any age, any race. In the original production,
she was played by an African-American actress in her 20s. </li>
</ul>
<p style="font-size:15px">Rehearsals to begin first week of
December 2015. Come prepared to read from the script.
Headshots and resumes welcome, but not required. All roles
available. Volunteer actors only. Auditions to be held in
CVLT's River Room, upstairs at 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls</p>
