Players Guild Theatre announces upcoming auditions for the Downstage production
of JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The JUNIE
B. JONES production team includes: Bart Herman, Director/Choreographer; Steve
Parsons, Music Director; and Joshua Erichsen, Producing Artistic Director</span></p>

very popular JUNIE B. JONES book series, by Barbara Park, <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>JUNIE B. JONES is a delightful adaptation of
four of Park's best-selling books brought to life in a genuinely comical, and
not strictly-for-kids musical developed by TheatreworksUSA.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%">Its Junie
B.'s first day of first grade and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie's
friend Lucille doesn't want to be her best pal anymore, and on the bus, Junie
B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble
reading the blackboard and her teacher Mr. Scary thinks she may need glasses.
Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a
"Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal", and first grade has never been
more exciting. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%">Auditions
will be held at the Players Guild Theatre located in the Cultural Center for
the Arts, 1001 Market Ave N., Canton, on Sunday, November 22 and Monday, November
23 from 6:30 – 9:00 PM.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The Players
Guild is seeking 3 men and 3 women, who will play multiple roles.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">All
roles are available and non-traditional casting will be considered for all
roles</b>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Interested parties who are 16
years of age or older, should sign up for a time slot by filling out the

permitted and will be accommodated for the first available time slot.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Those auditioning are asked to please prepare</span><span style="font-size:11pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif""> </span><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%">32 bars of a musical theatre piece which best showcases
their vocal ability and bring the corresponding sheet music in the correct key
(an accompanist will be provided).<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
</span>Additionally, actors are asked to bring a current photo or headshot (and
resume if available, but not required) with them to their audition.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%">Principal
callbacks are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 24.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>The cast meet & greet and read thru will
be held on Monday, December 7, and rehearsals will run Sunday - Thursday
evenings from 7-10pm.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:115%"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:115%">This W.G.
Fry Theatre production is scheduled to open on Friday, January 22, 2016 and
will run through Sunday, February 7, 2016 with Friday performances at 7:00 PM
and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">
</span>In addition there are four scheduled school matinee performances on the
following dates, Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27 and Tuesday,
February 2 and Wednesday, February 3 at 10:00 AM.</span></p>
