tell a story is to be the story, and this introduction to storytelling
is your first step on the path to telling yours. Working with Wandering
Aesthetics’ Education Director and Master Storyteller, Kyle Jozsa, and
Artistic Director Benjamin Rexroad, students will explore the basics of
discovering and crafting their very own story.</em></p><p class=""><em class="">Using
folktales along with real life experiences, Jozsa and Rexroad will guide
participants through the process of building a narrative. Moving from
the bare bones to muscle & blood, participants will learn basic
storytelling fundamentals and use those tools to shape their own

is the Co-Artistic Director and Director of Education with Wandering
Aesthetics. He began his teaching career in 2010 with Weathervane
Playhouse. Jozsa has worked full-time as a preschool teacher, developed
curriculum for traditional and non-traditional classes alike and led
many workshops for children of all age groups. He currently works as a
Teaching Artist for the Artful Living Program out of Stark County as
well as part-time at Gymboree in Strongsville and is working to bring a
play-based enrichment program to the Akron area.</em></p><p class=""><em class=""> </em></p><p class=""><em class=""><strong class="">Benjamin Rexroad</strong>
is a theatre artist with a passion for poetry, travel and community.
Through teaching, volunteering, hosting events and creating performances
designed to actively engage the community, he is driven to be a source
of positive energy in the world.</em></p><p class=""><em class="">Benjamin has trained
with John O’Neal of Junebug Productions (Color Line Project), SITI
Company (2010 Skidmore Summer Intensive) and was one of 25 international
directors selected to participate in the 2014 Directors Lab North in
Toronto.</em></p><p class=""><em class="">Since establishing Heads Up Productions six
years ago (which evolved into Wandering Aesthetics), he has produced or
directed 65 performances/events. In 2011, he was presented with the
Akron Arts Alive Award in the Rising Young Star/Leadership category. The
same year, he helped launch Akron’s only African-American theatre
company and received a grant to tour a role-playing workshop about
racism, poverty, class and social status. In 2013, Benjamin and his
partner completed a thru-hike of the 2,185.9-mile Appalachian Trail.</em></p><p class=""><em class="">After
a stint working for a title and escrow agency in Parma, Benjamin now
works for both the Akronist and ArtsNow (<a href="http://summitlive365.com" class="">SummitLive365.com</a>), helping to
build the arts and culture community throughout Akron and Summit County.
Benjamin is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals,
Young Professionals of Akron, Torchbearers Class of 2016 and the
Downtown Akron Partnership Emerging Leaders Board.</em></p></body></html>
