begins its 2016 season with the Annual Coffeehouse Show featuring <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7009" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Durang/Durang, </i>six one-act plays by
renowned American playwright, Christopher Durang.<span id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7010" style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The show runs February 5 through the 13.<span id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7011" style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances
begin at 7:30PM; a Sunday matinee on February 7 begins at 3:00PM.
All shows will be at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, 9543

Playwriting from Yale University, Christopher Durang is best known for writing

The Spotlights production will present six of Durang’s shorter works, beginning
with <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7029" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Mrs. Sorken</i>, an introduction to
the history and origin of theater, given by the title character who has
misplaced her notes. Next comes two theater satires: <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7030" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls</i> (a parody of <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7031" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">The Glass Menagerie</i> by Tennessee Williams) and <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7032" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">A Stye of the Eye</i>, a play exposing the overuse of symbolism in
American theater.<span id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7033" style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The second half begins
with <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7034" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Nina</i> <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7035" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">in the Morning</i>, providing a glimpse into the life of an extremely
wealthy and narcissistic woman. In <i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1452704645074_7036" style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Wanda’s
Visit</i>, a married couple recount the reintroduction of an eccentric former
