Ludwig’s plays have been performed by the Players on two separate occasions and were well received by the audiences who saw <i>Moon Over Buffalo</i> and <i>Leading Ladies</i>. </span></b></div>

At the end of the performance, William Gillette the actor who plays Holmes is shot when he is addressing the audience. He is wounded and the cast comes to his extravagant mansion in Connecticut two weeks later to cheer Gillette up and to celebrate the Christmas holidays. After all the guests arrive, one of them is killed and with the police and Gillette who insists on playing Holmes in pursuit all of the remaining guests are treated as suspects. Who did it and why? In this one, the butler is given the night off so you cannot blame him. </span></b></div>
