<h3 style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color:#000; font-size:10pt;"> 2012 cast reunites for
BELLES sequel July 29 - Aug. 13 at Chagrin Valley Little
Theatre's River Street Playhouse</h3>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;">CHAGRIN FALLS, OH –
Summer is a time for catching up with out-of-town
relatives and former high school chums. It starts with a
call to attend a reunion. Fear not, after seeing Chagrin
Valley Little Theatre's production of BELLES: THE REUNION,
July 29-Aug. 13, the drama in your life will seem like a
day in the park. Performances are 8 p.m. Fridays and
Saturdays. </p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;">The play reveals the
trials and tribulations of the Walker family as told
through a crisis-filled weekend of phone conversations
among six southern sisters, now scattered geographically.
It starts with a "what to do about Mama," who has taken
off all her clothes in the community room of the nursing
home. From there the audience learns about whose marriages
are on the rocks, which free-spirited sister is still
trying to earn the respect of her siblings, and who has
lost her faith both in her religion and her family. </p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;">Written by Mark Dunn,
the comedy is a sequel to his BELLES, which was a hit with
CVLT's audiences in 2012. In this followup, the Walker
sisters are years older, and some may even be a little
wiser. With two exceptions, the 2016 CVLT cast is a
reunion of the earlier production's actresses. In fact,
actress Denise Larkin has since moved to North Carolina,
but is staying here for the summer to reprise her role.</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;"> Director Barbara L.
Rhoades, a community theater director with nearly three
decades of experience, is thrilled to be visiting with the
"Walker sisters" again. "I've had the pleasure to meet and
work with so many talented actors and actresses over the
years," she says, "and this cast is a perfect example.
These actresses formed a strong bond and worked very hard
to bring Dunn's wonderfully spirited and moving characters
to life on this stage, and it's a treat to get to see how
these women and the characters they play have grown and
changed over the intervening years."</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;"> The CVLT cast includes
Kathy Steiner, Denise Larkin, Claudia Lillibridge, Jenny
Barrett, Macey Staninger and Brenda Willis. The show is
produced by Cindee Catalano-Edelman, with stage manager
Karen Paktinat and tech director Edmond Wolff. </p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;">CVLT's River Street
Playhouse is located at 56 River St., west of the main
CVLT building in Chagrin Falls. All seats are $12. Call
the Box Office Monday through Saturday 1-6 p.m. at
440-247-8955 or visit the website at <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.CVLT.org">www.CVLT.org</a>. Seating
is limited, and the Broadway musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY
plays simultaneously on CVLT's Main Stage next door, so
advanced arrival for parking is highly recommended.</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;">CVLT is generously
funded by Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts
and Culture and supported by the Ohio Arts Council. CVLT
is a proud member of the American Association of Community
Theatre and the Ohio Community Theatre Association.</p>
