<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">As </span>previously set<span style="color:black"> by the U.S. Presidential Debate Commission, the first
official presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will
take place on Monday, September 26. </span></b><span style="color:black"> The
two candidates will be on the Nighttown stage via large screen TV’s for that
much-anticipated debate, beginning at 9:00 pm. <span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">But before that exercise in democracy
(or that train wreck, depending on your point of view), <b>we’re going to
start the festivities at 7 pm</b> with a trivia contest, followed by those
singing political satirists, <b>The Debatables – A Non-Partisan Trio</b>.
After that, we’ll be entertained by the <b>Baldwin Wallace Musical Theater
Department</b>. </span>And j<span style="color:black">ust before the
debate begins, we’ll have a rousing audience sing-along featuring some of
your favorite patriotic songs.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">The Baldwin Wallace Musical
Theater Department</span></b><span style="color:black"><span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">Director Vicky Bussert brings to
the Nighttown stage students from the second-best musical theater program in
the country for a program of political showstopping showtunes that include
America (West Side Story), Fugue for Tin Horns (Guys & Dolls), Make Them
Hear You (Ragtime), The Gun Song (from Sondheim’s Assassins) – and a song
from this season’s biggest hit on Broadway, Hamilton, all to the piano
accompaniment of Dave Pepin, music director for the Baldwin Wallace
program. Dave and the BW students will then lead us as we all sing <i>This
Land is Your Land, You’re a Grand Old Flag</i> and Simon and Garfunkle’s <i>America</i>,
plus other favorites, before we break for the presidential debate.<span></span></span></p>
