Cast requirements are four actors: Amanda, the mother and faded Southern belle (40s - 60s); Tom, the son, who is darkly poetic and stuck in a dead-end job (mid 20s); Laura, the reclusive daughter (mid to late 20s); and Jim, the gentleman caller (mid to late 20s). Audition will consist of readings from the script, but people planning to audition are advised to come familiar with the script and the part(s) for which they’re auditioning. Each character in the play is finely crafted and a challenge for actors.
