This is an open call.</div><div><br></div><div>"The Coroner's Assistant" is a dark comedy that follows naive and enthusiastic medical student James Rigby (Cedric Gegel) in his apprenticeship to unconventional South London coroner Oliver Cross in the late Victorian-era. </div><div><br></div><div>The roles for auditions are as follows:</div><div><br></div><div><b>Oliver Cross</b> (Male, 30's-50's), a coroner in South London and self-described "scavenger" who also runs a lucrative cadaver business which he hides from the police. He is cunning, gruff, and disdainful of authority figures.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Thomas </b>(Male, mid-20's-early 30's), a resurrection man who works for Oliver Cross, providing him with bodies to dissect in order to sell body parts and organs to medical facilities. He is quiet, morose, and brooding.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Mary Cross</b> (Female, 20's), Oliver's niece, a smart-mouthed young woman who is also familiar with the streets.
