At The Illusion Factory in Akron, Jim provided children’s theater instruction and was the company/road manager for the professional touring company introducing young people to theater. Jim performs children’s plays at the Yankee Peddler Festival each year and has directed numerous other children’s plays for Dover Players, The Rabbit Run Theater, Twinsburg Community Theater, and conducted youth theater workshops for the Western Reserve Playhouse. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>In addition to his youth theater workshops, Jim has directed a number of plays for the Western Reserve Playhouse in Bath, Ohio, such as Neil Simon’s <u>God’s Favorite</u><b> </b>in which he won an Excellence in Set Design Award from OCTA. In 2007 Jim also won a Merit in Directing Award from OCTA for the Western Reserve Playhouse production of <u>Opal’s Husband</u><b>. </b>In November of 2010 Jim was awarded Outstanding Artist in Theater from the Akron Area Arts Alliance.
