<h3 style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color:#000; font-size:10pt;">Popular play GREATER TUNA is
back to spawn more laughs at River Street Playhouse March
9-24</h3>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – Get ready to laugh out loud for real
as GREATER TUNA, the hilarious send-up of rural America,
swims upstream March 9-24 with a torrent of un-political
incorrectness at CVLT’s River Street Playhouse, 56 River
Street in Chagrin Falls. The run includes seven
performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. with a 2 p.m.
Sunday matinee on March 18. </p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">The
first in a series of beloved comedies written by the
playwright trio Ed Howard, Jaston Williams and Joe Sears,
GREATER TUNA skewers uptight and narrow-minded stereotypes
in the tiny fictional town of Tuna, Texas, where even the
local Lions Club is considered too liberal. GREATER TUNA
was first staged in 1981 in Austin, Texas and was last
seen at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre in 1991, but the
satire is apropos of today’s social and political climate.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
The cast includes local actors Don Bernardo and Brian
Diehl playing no less than 20 colorful characters,
including men, women, children and animals. The duo last
appeared at CVLT together as ‘King Arthur’ and his squire
‘Patsy’ in 2016’s <i>Spamalot</i>, which played to
sell-out houses. The same Monty Python vein of silliness
will be on display for TUNA, this time on CVLT’s intimate
second stage.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
The play is directed by Barbara L. Rhoades with sound
designed by Roger Atwell. Barbara also directed GREATER
TUNA in its debut at CVLT, as well as ten years later at
Aurora Community Theater.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">Tickets

Office located at 40 River St. in Chagrin Falls. Box
Office hours are 1 - 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.</p>
