<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">The ideal candidate will:</font></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Have at minimum a B.M. in Piano Performance, with preferably a Master’s degree in Piano Performance or Music Education.</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Have 2 years prior experience teaching piano to children within the K – 8 age range.</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be skilled at and passionate about nurturing the joy of music in young children.</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be able to engage each student at their level of ability, and encourage their growth, including preparation for recitals and outside community performances.

</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be comfortable in an urban community setting and with students from a variety of backgrounds.</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be available to teach on Wednesday afternoons & potentially one additional weekday afternoon (Mon thru Fri)</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be able to commit to a weekly Wednesday afternoon lesson schedule this spring for 6 consecutive weeks, possibly to extend through this summer</font></p>
</li><li>
<p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%"><font color="#4472c4">Be willing to participate in and end-of-term student recital or other activities through which we engage the community.</font></p>
