OH </span></b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:Helvetica">(April 17, 2018) – Galamac’s inaugural production of the
all too timely play <i>columbinus</i>, by
the United States Theatre project, written by Stephen Karam and PJ Paparelli,
dramaturgy by Patricia Hersch, conceived by PJ Paparelli,<i> </i>opens this Thursday, April 19 at 8PM at The Well CDC/Citizens
Akron Church (formerly The First Presbyterian Church of Akron) in Middlebury. <span> </span>Produced and directed by Jeremy A. Clarke and
Omar Mack, the production will honor the original play which was developed
following the Columbine High School massacre of 1999 in Littleton, Colorado
based on records, transcripts, police records, and interviews from the
community; following recent events in America, now seems like the perfect time
to re-examine a dialogue of high school adolescence, mental health, and safety,
while also looking at how grief affects a community and the power of knowing
the truth in the event of a tragedy.<span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;text-indent:0.5in;font-size:12pt;font-family:Cambria,serif"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:Helvetica">The cast includes Sam Marazita, Frank Lucas, Jeremy A.
Clarke, Logan Peters, Jackson Clarke, Alexis Robles, Tessa Gaffney, Mary Grace
Bentivegna, and Jake Sustersic. Performances are Thursday, April 19<sup>th</sup>
through Sunday, April 22<sup>nd</sup>, with the April 20<sup>th</sup>
performance coinciding with the 19<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the massacre, which
will be followed by a vigil to honor the victims.<span>  </span>Tickets are $12 and are available on
Eventbrite.com and will be available at the door (NOTE: Credit/Debit card
surcharges will apply online and at the door).<span>  </span>A portion of box office sales will be donated to the National Compassion
Fund, a program of the National Center for Victims of Crime that help victims
of mass crime.<span></span></span></p>

had a co-world premiere on March 8, 2005, at Round House Theatre, Silver
Spring, MD. (Jerry Whiddon, Producing Artistic Director, and Ira Hillman,
Managing Director), and then on May 6, 2005, at Perseverance Theatre in Juneau,
Alaska, (PJ Paparelli, Artistic Director, and Jeffrey Herrmann, Producing
Director) in conjunction with the United States Theatre Project. Originally
produced in New York by New York Theatre Workshop.<span></span></span></p>
