<h3 style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
color:#000; font-size:10pt;">Chagrin Valley Little Theatre
serves up a sassy summer shandy with ‘THE SAVANNAH SIPPING
SOCIETY’ comedy on stage June 1 – 17</h3>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — With more sass than a glass of fine
French wine and a delicious fromage, four area actresses
promise to deliver a smart, crisp slice of contemporary
life in THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY, a laugh-a-minute
comedy presented weekends June 1 – 17 on Chagrin Valley
Little Theatre's Main Stage. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays
and Saturdays with two matinees, Sundays June 10 and 17 at
2 p.m.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">Directed
by Barbara L. Rhoades, the plot revolves around four
spunky, middle-aged Southern women each going through
life-changing circumstances. Career-oriented Randa
(Kourtney Highland) is managing the sudden loss of her
job, Dot (Leigh Garrett) has lost her soul-mate spouse,
and good 'ol Texan Marlafaye (Jenny Barrett) is hatching a
plot to seek revenge on her philandering ex-husband. Drawn
together by fate and an impromptu happy hour, they decide
it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve
lost through the years of marriage, careers, and other
derailments, with the help of a life coach named Jinx
(Brenda Willis), who may be in need of her own advice.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">THE
SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY takes place over six months and
follows the foursome’s hilarious misadventures as they
bond, tip a few cocktails, and find the confidence to
jumpstart their lives. By the end of the performance,
you’ll want to toast to their successes as they learn to
live in the moment and come to realize that it’s never too
late to make new old friends.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">The
play is written by the team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas
Hope, and Jamie Wooten, whose snappy plays about female
friendships ("The Dixie Swim Club," "Belles," "Always A
Bridesmaid") have been smashes at CVLT under Ms. Rhodes'
direction. The playwrights are masters of Southern-fried,
whip-smart comedy; Wooten was a writer and producer for <em>The
Golden Girls,</em> which shares similar comedic style
and sensibilities, and his co-writers have numerous film
and television credits and awards to their names as well.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">Ticket
prices are $18 for adults and $14 for seniors and
students. Arrive early at 12:30 p.m. for the Sunday, June
10 matinee and enjoy snacks and a mimosa cocktail for $10
before the performance.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">CVLT
is located at 40 River St. in Chagrin Falls. Box Office
hours are 1-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and tickets are
