Taming of the Shrew is a comedy by William Shakespeare that
centers around the unusual courtship of Petruchio and Kate (the
Shrew - a headstrong young woman). The play offers great roles for
several amusing characters, including a the role of Bianca (Kate’s
younger sister), and several potential suitors of Kate and Bianca.
The play has been adapted several times and is the inspiration for
Cole Porter’s Kiss Me, Kate, as well as the film 10
Things I Hate About You.
