Reginald Rose’s <i>The Remarkable Incident at Carson Corners </i>was a television drama that first aired in 1955; however, it has a compelling relevance to the current “March for Our Lives” movement sparked by the recent violence in Parkland, FL. at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. In this fable, the students of Carson Corners High School take matters into their own hands when a Freshman dies violently during a school lunch period. They ultimately teach the adults about responsibility and accountability. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>This production has a large cast with roles for 14 adults and 11 students, comprised of 12 males and 13 females. Adult roles range from corporate and educational professionals to blue-collar workers, one of which speaks in broken English. Age range for students is from Freshman through Senior. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><i>Carson Corners</i> will be directed by Mark Seven, who also directed <i>Looking</i> and <i>Spoon River Anthology</i> for SCT in recent years. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The second round of auditions is scheduled for the following dates:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-indent:.5in'>Sunday, July 22 12:30 – 3 pm<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'> Monday, July 23 6 – 9 pm<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'>They will take place at the Strongsville Senior Center (located in the west end of the Recreation Center), 18100 Royalton Rd, behind the Target store. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'>Performance dates are:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'> October 12 – 14, and 19 – 21, 2018.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'>*SCT auditions are open to everyone, and no roles are pre-cast.
