improv class, workshop & jam so that all levels can enjoy
themselves! HOT JAM aims to make improv accessible & provide a fun,
friendly, safe and supportive environment where people can enjoy
performing.

Drop-in is $5 and all money goes toward funding the
Mass Hysteria Comedy Fest an upcoming Cleveland comedy festival on
October 4th, 5th and 6th created by women, for everyone!

Mahall’s
Apartment is through the bar, left of the kitchen, a quick jaunt up 2
flights of stairs & the first door to your left! A sign will be
posted to help guide you, so don’t worry.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PERFORMERS
1. Relax. Don’t take anything personally. Every bad scene is a learning opportunity.
2. Check Expectations. THIS
IS A JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE. Don’t go into the Jam thinking you need to do
your best work. Have fun, make bold choices and be weird!
3. Paws Off. If
you don’t know your fellow Jammers that well, do not attempt kissing,
hitting, lifting, licking, pushing, pulling, or any other contact unless
consent is given. Even then, err on the side of caution. Nobody wants
to leave feeling creeped out.
4. Be Positive. “Yes, And” is the
heart of improv. Arguing with someone you don’t know will kill the
scene. You are trying to improvise with someone & you are also
making a real first impression on another human being. Always be
respectful.
6. No Steamrolling. Listen to your partner & take
what is offered. Do your best to be reactionary don’t try to think of a
funny joke! It takes you out of the moment and into your head.
7. Being "edgy" is not a guaranteed laugh. Scenes
about rape, pedophilia, mocking disabilities, race, gender or sexual
orientation will be cut. These are topics not worth trying to justify.
Play at the top of your intelligence.

If you have any questions please email Sam Dee at sam.dee.ent@gmail.com!
