The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater will be presenting Oscar Wilde’s
classic comedy, <i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1534730331466_7254">The Importance of Being Earnest</i>, August 24 – September
8, 2018. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 PM.  A 3:00 PM
matinee will be held on September 2. All performances take place at the
Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building (Home of the Spotlights Theater),
located next to the Police Station on the Broadview Center property, 9543
Broadview Road. Tickets are $13 for adults and $12 for students and seniors and

benefit the Broadview Heights Community Foundation which is helping fund the
new amphitheater at Broadview Center. Tickets are $30 each and include an Hors
d’oeuvre Reception at 6:30 PM prior to the show, dessert at intermission, and a
non-alcoholic Beverage Bar. Guests may bring their own wine to enjoy during

carries the subtitle “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People,” and its fast-paced
antics and witty language are highly entertaining for modern audiences. Dashing
men-about-town John Worthing (Andrew Keller) and Algernon Moncrieff (Charles
Hargrave) pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax (Giorgiana Lascu) and Cecily
Cardew (Lainne Davis). Matters are complicated by the imaginary characters
invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities—not to mention the
disapproval of Gwendolen’s mother, the formidable Lady Bracknell (Cat Kenney). 
The rest of the cast includes Chris Bizub, Elizabeth Allard, and Eli Ravenson. <br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1534730331466_7271">

The Spotlights’ production is directed by Tyson Douglas Rand, Artistic Director
of the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival.  The show is produced by
Spotlights’ Trustees Sarah Price and Tara Corkery, with Technical Direction by
