desperate lovers, giving us a glimpse of the intrigue and heartache left in its
wake. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">American La Ronde</i> is a provocative
and fully contemporary re-imagining of Arthur Schnitzler’s <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">Reigen</i>, known by its French translation <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">La</i> <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Ronde</i>, adapted by
Steven Dietz. The play examines what intimacy is, why it can be difficult to
sustain, and why we invest in fantasy when we find the path to intimacy too
difficult. Most importantly, it illustrates the lengths to which people will go
to live the life they imagine for themselves. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:
normal">American La Ronde </i>is sexy, literate, emotional, and highly
