color:#000; font-size:12pt;">CVLT's River Street Playhouse
to present the Gaffney/Najimy comedy PARALLEL LIVES</h3>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">CHAGRIN
FALLS, Ohio - "In the beginning" there was Kathy Najimy <em>(Sister
Act, My Big Fat Greek Wedding)</em> and Mo Gaffney<em>
(That 70s Show, Absolutely Fabulous)</em>. Their
stand-up comedy and skits became the CableACE award
winning special "The Kathy & Mo Show: Parallel Lives"
in 1991. Chagrin Valley Little Theatre's second venue, the
River Street Playhouse, will present the stage adaptation
of PARALLEL LIVES on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM,
November 23 through December 8 (Matinee at 2 PM on
December 2).</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">Starring
Yvonne E. Pilarczyk and Lisa Freebairn, PARALLEL LIVES
details the absurdity of modern womanhood through a series
of vignettes and monologues that deal with topics such as
death, sex, and religion. In the course of the show, each
actress plays over a dozen characters - males, females,
children at church camp, winged Supreme Beings,
menstruating co-workers, Shakespeare’s women, and more.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">"The
biggest challenge is trying to stay as much out of the
actors' way as possible," says director Barbara L.
Rhoades. "They are responsible for breathing life into all
of Najimy and Gaffney's characters; I just give them the
parameters. PARALLEL LIVES is a tour de force for both
Vonnie and Lisa. It's playful, irreverent, totally
free-form, and has an element of the unexpected in every
scene."</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">Tickets
are $13 general admission and are available at CVLT.org,
by phone at 440-247-8955, or at the Box Office at 40 River
Street 1-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. CVLT's River
Street Playhouse is located at the western end of River
Street in historic downtown Chagrin Falls, OH. Parking and
seating are limited - advance reservations and arrival are
recommended.</p>
