<p><span style="color:black">Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center presents Alex Bevan in “Lake Erie Legacy” at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1 and in “Retro Boy Returns-The Great Ohio Slide Continues!” at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 in the Cirigliano
Studio Theatre.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style="color:black">Bevan previously wrote and performed “Skinny Little Boy from Cleveland, Ohio,” “Grand River Lullaby” and “Have Another Laugh on Cleveland Blues.” Friday night's show, "Lake Erie Legacy," is Bevan’s homage to the lake and the islands.
Beginning in 1991 with his critically acclaimed disk “Watersongs,” again with “South Shore Serenade,” then finally with “Sweetwater Pete,” Bevan explores the stories, melodies and mythic personas that populate Lake Erie's historical (and fictional) treasure
trove of tales.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="color:black">Saturday's show features Bevan’s freewheeling romp through the past with a wink to the present. It combines all the old favorites from his performances on the college circuit, as well as the WMMS days, along with assorted tall tales.
Bevan will recreate the “Great Ohio Slide Tour” of 1978. The “Skinny Little Boy from Cleveland, Ohio” will return as Retro Boy conjuring the freewheeling performance style that brought him to the forefront of performers who inhabited the college coffeehouses
and small hall concerts of the 1970s. The years from 1971 to 1979 found Alex logging many thousand miles of travel and performing as an opening act for such headliners as the Beach Boys, Doobie Brothers, Michael Stanley Band, Earl Scruggs Review, Pure Prairie
League, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Buffet, Livingston Taylor, Billy Joel and more. All these influences combined and allowed him to grow into his own lyric style of folk/rock that culminated in Alex releasing his first of many self-produced
recordings.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style="color:black">Tickets for these Stocker Studio Session events are $20 each or $10 for LCCC students with a valid ID, youth 18 and under, and active duty military with valid ID. Subscriptions are also available for this series.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
