<span style="background:white">In this musical comedy based on the hit movie of the same name, we meet Dewey Finn, a failed, wanna-be rock star, who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There,
he turns a class of straight–A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get the youngsters to the Battle of the Bands before the parents and the school find out?</span><br>

<span style="background:white">CASTING REQUIREMENTS</span><br>
<span style="background:white">We are seeking to cast a diverse cast of male and female performers between the ages of 9 and 18.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="background:white">Looking to cast the following roles with performers that also play instruments, if possible. Dewey- guitar, the band No Vacancy guitar, bass, and drums, Zack Mooenyham- guitar, Lawrence- keyboard, Katie- Bass, and Freddie- percussion.

<span style="background:white">WHAT TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION</span><br>
<span style="background:white">Please prepare 32 bars of the music of a song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music for your song (in the appropriate key)with you to the audition; an accompanist will be provided.</span><br>

<span style="background:white">Those auditioning for the role of “Rosalie” will be asked to also sing a selection from Mozart's "Queen of the Night" aria (a downloadable file of the sheet music for this song is available on the audition SignUp page:

<span style="background:white">For performers auditioning to play an instrument: Please film a one- to two-minute video that shows your talent playing the drums, guitar, bass and/or keyboards (pop/rock genre preferred). If you play more than one of these instruments,

<span style="background:white">Please bring your calendar with you to the auditions in order to declare any scheduling conflicts between May 15 and July 27.</span><br>

<span style="background:white">WHEN ARE THE REHEARSALS?</span><br>
<span style="background:white">Rehearsals will typically be held Mondays through Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. On Sundays, rehearsals will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="background:white">Technical rehearsals take place every day beginning one week before the first performance. Attendance at all technical rehearsals is mandatory.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="background:white">WHEN ARE THE PERFORMANCES?</span><br>
<span style="background:white">"School of Rock" will play for 15 performances between Friday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 19, 2019.</span><br>
