FRANKENSTEIN comes to life in Chagrin Falls</h3>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">CHAGRIN
FALLS, Ohio -
<i> IT’S ALIVE!</i> Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is
prepared to jolt audiences with laughter when Mel Brooks'
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN opens on the Main Stage, July 19.
Performances run Friday and Saturday nights at 8 PM
through August 10 with matinees at 2 PM on Sundays July 28
and August 4.</p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
This wildly funny musical comedy was adapted by Mel Brooks
with co-writer Thomas Meehan (<em>The Producers,
Hairspray, Annie</em>) from Brooks' 1974 film. Led by
Gene Wilder, the movie brilliantly spoofed Mary Shelley's
Gothic horror tale, in which a scientist attempts to
reanimate the dead, and its classic silver screen
adaptations. The movie earned many awards and a regular
spot on "Best Films of All Time" lists. </p>
<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
Brooks' Tony-winning stage version hit Broadway in 2007
and comes to CVLT for the first time under the direction
of Will C. Crosby. Audiences are transported to New York,
as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (Maxwell Miller) finds
himself inheriting his great-grandfather's mansion and his
secret lab full of illicit research. He travels to
Transylvania where his own monster (Kevin Michael Myers)
will be born, aided by a hunchbacked sidekick (Cody
Swanson), a libidinous lab assistant (Kaylea Kudlaty), and
a sour-faced housekeeper (Rebecca Riffle Polito). Stepping
into his ancestor's tap shoes, the Doctor finds that
making a monster is fraught with hilarious complications,
not least of which being his fiancee (Amanda Bender) and
the local police (Stephen Berg).

<p style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size:10pt">
CVLT's production features the choreography of Jen
Justice, with musical director Bret Cowden, costumes by
Korinne Carroll Courtwright, and makeup by Jessica Gramc.
The cast also includes Nina Aust, Amy Becker, Amanda
Bender, Madison Chaitoff, Hoyt Gardner, Adam Harris,
Christina Hile, Tom Jones, Emma Kocar, Julia Levin, Barry
Moses, Bekah Neubecker, Raleigh Orozs, Rachel Pokelsek,

Ziel.
