the accidental death of his lover, junior ad exec Tom travels from the city to
a remote farm in the country for the funeral. There he finds a religious family
who knows nothing of his existence, and is blindsided by his dead boyfriend’s
legacy of lies. The mother is expecting a girlfriend, while his late
boyfriend’s brother is obsessed with preserving a facade of “normalcy,” which
causes some awkwardly funny moments when Tom’s gal-pal shows up. However, the
brother’s perverse obsession also brings him to drag Tom into a twisted and
brutal sexually-charged game to strong-arm Tom into joining in on the lies,
until Tom finally confronts the torment that drove his lover to live in the
shadows of deceit.</span></p><p></p>
