What would happen if God took another swipe at rewriting his 10
commandments? Find out at The River Street Playhouse’s funny and
provocative production of AN ACT OF GOD on stage for seven weekend
performances 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday Nov. 22 to Dec. 7 with a 2
p.m. matinee Sunday, Dec. 1.

Written by the Emmy, Grammy and Peabody awarded humorist, David
Javerbaum of The Daily Show fame, “An Act of God” started as a
series of Twitter posts then grew into a book before being recast
for stage.

The plot has Roland Moore as the beleaguered “God,” who is
barraged with requests from humans who are constantly asking for
things and trying to interpret his answers by reading into
hurricanes, floods, volcanoes and other natural disasters.

Flanked by his angels “Michael,” played by Nick Grimsic, and
“Gabriel,” portrayed by Neil Sudhakaran, God has grown weary of
the original Ten Commandments and has decided to rewrite them with
a wicked sense of humor that will keep everyone guessing.

Verily, leave the Little Angels at home for this one! Rated 16
