</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=purple><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><b>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<o:p></o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal><b><o:p> </o:p></b></p><p class=MsoNormal> North Eaton Christian Church will continue its series of Sunday afternoon, monthly fundraising concerts with the February 2, 3 p.m., appearance of Ron Thomas and Diana Tyler. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>Ron Thomas<b> </b>is an acoustic guitarist and vocalist performing Country, Americana, and Gospel music. He released a Gospel album, <i>How Great Thou Art, </i>in 2006<i>.</i> As a solo artist, Ron has opened shows for Country Music legends Carl Smith and Kitty Wells. He has also worked a sideman playing electric bass, acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin and accordion.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>Diana Tyler is a singer/songwriter whose original songs connect with spiritual and secular audiences alike. Her music appears on three self-released albums and several compilations, ranging from folk, country, and gospel, to pop, rock, and comedy songs.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>The one-hour concert will be followed by a reception, including refreshments. There is no charge for admission, but a freewill offering will help support the congregation’s Roof Fund.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>In addition to raising funds for a new roof, the concert series was designed to expose audiences to a variety of quality, local talent. Previous performers have included singer/songwriters Ken Moody-Arndt, Bob Sammon, and Jim Schafer, as well as a gospel group and a Christmas concert featuring a diverse slate of performers. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>Upcoming concerts will include the March 1 double-bill of Jerry Allen and Matt Doyle; an April 5 afternoon of karaoke; and, a May 3 “Klergy and Keys” event which will feature David Chafin (Pastor of NECC) and Nathan Russell (Pastor of Washington Avenue Christian Church, Elyria). <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'>North Eaton Christian Church is at 35895 Royalton Rd., in Eaton Township (near the intersection of State Routes 82 & 83).
