The Cassidy Theatre, Parma Heights' premiere Community Theatre is proud to offer a free Family and Sensory Friendly Production of <strong>Charlotte’s Web</strong> with a cast Meeting and Greet on Saturday, May 22, 2021. The 60 min program will be presented on The Cassidy Theatre’s website on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 7:00 pm. The Cast Meet and Greet will take place earlier that afternoon on May 22, 2021, from 12-2 pm in The Cassidy Theatre Parking lot located at 6200 Pearl Road Parma Heights, OH 44130. This presentation is free, but registration is required at <a href="http://www.cassidytheare.com">www.cassidytheatre.com</a>.

This is a 50-minute version of Charlotte's Web with a small cast. The most enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.” Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment.

This production was adapted for a sensory-friendly audience with adjusted sound volume and no startling action. Lighting is designed to be sensory-friendly by limiting lighting changes and no stark or overly bright lights. The Meet and Greet will offer our Sensory-Friendly guests a Go Bag, including a program, fidget toy, a sensory-friendly show-themed craft, family resources, and other goodies.
