<li>This is a concert version, lightly staged with no
dancing required, backed by the full Chagrin Studio
Orchestra.</li>
<li>Performances and auditions will be at Chagrin Valley
Little Theatre, 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls, OH</li>
<li>Characters will be cast based on vocal ability</li>
<li>Actors do not have to be age appropriate nor will
they be required to dance.</li>
<li>There will be a limited 2-3 week rehearsal schedule
starting Sept 25th.</li>
<li>For auditions, please prepare 32 measures of music
in the style of the show.</li>
<li>Please bring sheet music. No acapella.</li>
<li>Ages 16 and up.</li>
<li>This is a volunteer production.</li>

<div><b>Synopsis</b></div>
<div><b><br>
</b><i>Kiss Me Kate</i> tells the tale of two
once-married, now-divorced musical theater actors,
egotistical leading man Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi, who
are forced to perform opposite each other in a
Broadway-bound musical version of William Shakespeare’s <i>The
Taming of the Shrew</i>, in the roles of Petruchio and
Katharina. </div>

<div>As the battle of the sexes continues onstage and off,
it becomes clear that as much as this couple profess to
hate each other, they are also still in love. Throw a
number of cases of mistaken identity, some gangsters, and
additional romantic entanglements into the mix.</div>
