season to build for our main stages, New Ground Theatre Festival, and the CWRU/CPH MFA program to help
ensure that each technical rehearsal and performance runs smoothly. Must be willing to join IATSE Local 27. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Responsibilities Include: </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Assist with load-in and strike of scenery </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Attend Designer Run-through </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Make sure all line sets are properly spiked before the onstage spacing rehearsal and removed at strike
of show </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Participate in weekly departmental equity, diversity, inclusion and access learning conversations </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Attend each tech rehearsal and performance of show </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Train and supervise Stage Crew on proper methods to move scenery </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Work with Stage Management to develop shift plots for moving scenery and props during performance </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Make sure stage and backstage areas are swept, mopped and cleaned before each rehearsal and
performance</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Preset and supervise Stage Crew presets of scenery and props as assigned by Stage Management</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Keep paperwork up to date by writing down changes to preset lists or run list; ensure Stage Crew
updates paperwork during techs and provide Stage Management staff with updated copy of
paperwork</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Assist with the daily post show clean up </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Follow all health and safety guidelines established by the theatre; report any unsafe conditions or
practices to your supervisor immediately </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Notify Stage Management and TD of broken scenery or props; repair and maintain scenery and
emergency repairs for props during the run of the show

behavior </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Desired Experience and Skills Include: </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Leadership and communication skills </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability to read and understand blueprints </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability able to follow instructions </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Knowledge of scenic construction techniques and materials </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Working knowledge of welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, motion control, and rigging </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability take on individual projects and follow them through to completion </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and work from ladders and personnel lifts </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability to work well with a variety of working styles in other staff </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability to stay alert and focused during long periods of inactivity </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"> Ability to see in low light situations </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">This position will primarily work in collaboration with the Technical Director, IATSE Scenic Carpenters, Stage
Managers, Run Crew, and Director of Production </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Work Schedule:
Primarily evening/weekend Tuesday through Sunday depending on show schedule.
