<h2>Elf: The Musical</h2>
<p>CVLT will be bringing the musical "Elf" back to the stage in
Nov/Dec 2023 after a record-breaking sold-out run in 2022! Most of
the 2022 cast will be returning, and we are looking for 10-15 more
actors of <em>all ages</em> to augment the cast of returning
performers.</p>
<p><strong>Auditions to be held at CVLT (40 River Street, Chagrin
Falls) on July 8, 12 PM - 3 PM</strong></p>

<li>Come prepared to sing 16 bars of music that shows off your
voice. ('Happy Birthday' etc. suitable if the auditonee is a
small child.) </li>
<li>You may be asked to read dialogue from the script.</li>
<li>Come prepared with a list of schedule conflicts at auditions.</li>
<li>The Director encourages family participation, although
individuals are also welcome.</li>
</ul>
<p>Children will be featured as Elves and additionally featured as
children in multiple scenes including Macy’s Santa scene and
outdoor NYC scenes including ice skating. We are also seeking
children/teens comfortable with 'wheelie' shoes for the ice
skating scene.</p>
<p><strong>Rehearsals & Schedule:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Rehearsals will begin Sunday Sept 24<sup>th</sup> and will
occur Monday - Thursdays at 6:30, Sundays 5-8. </li>
<li>Children are always dismissed from rehearsals promptly at 8PM
until the last 2 weeks of rehearsals when they may be required
to stay until the end of rehearsal (usually 9-9:30) in order to
run the entire show.</li>
<li>Parents whose children age 12 and under are in the show will
be asked to volunteer in some way — child organization, back
stage help, etc. </li>
<li>There will be a rehearsal schedule given to all participants
and you will only be called on days when you will be rehearsing
on stage, doing choreography, or for musical practice. </li>
<li>Rehearsals are mandatory on the following dates: Tech Sunday
Nov 12 from 12 noon to finished (usually around 9PM), and tech
week from 6:30 until finished Monday Nov 13 thru Thursday Nov
16.</li>

<li>A parent/guardian is required to attend all rehearsals with
their children and be present in the theater to ensure that your
child is safe during breaks when they are not on stage. Parents
will be asked to volunteer for child management duties on
performance nights.</li>
