Beck Center for the Arts seeks a talented and engaging arts education instructor(s) to join our theater education faculty. In this role, the instructor will lead theater education classes while promoting and nurturing the education of students by planning and
implementing effective and developmentally appropriate classroom experiences; providing a safe environment conducive to learning; keeping students informed as to the plan for the course and the activities taking place at Beck Center for the Arts. The instructor
will be an entry point to first time students, while serving as an advocate for Beck Center to our students and the community.</div>

<div class="ContentPasted0">Reporting to the Associate Director of Theater Education, the arts educator will:
</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• possess the ability to engage students of various age ranges in arts education programs while assisting students in expressing themselves through the theater arts.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• be responsible, reliable, and professional. And have the ability to work independently.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• have the ability to fulfill all the responsibilities and duties of a classroom teacher, keeping records/tracking attendance and ability to manage a classroom or studio environment.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• possess ability to work with a diverse team, including other arts professionals and arts administrators.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• Teach any or all of the following classes:</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">Acting I (Ages 8-12) Tue 4:30-5:30 pm (9/12/23-12/12/23)</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">Beginning and continuing students explore the elements of stage performance through theater games, exercises and scene study.</div>

<div class="ContentPasted0">Acting I (Ages 8-12) Wed 4:30-5:30 pm (9/6/23-12/13/23)
</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">Beginning and continuing students explore the elements of stage performance through theater games, exercises and scene study.</div>

</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">Acting II (Ages 8-13) Tue 5:30-6:30 pm (9/12/23-12/12/23)</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">For students who have completed Acting I, Acting Essentials or equivalent. Students explore more challenging material with a variety of small scenes and monologues focusing on character, objective, and performance styles.</div>

</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">Scene Study (Ages 8-13) Tue 6:45-7:45 pm (9/12/23-12/12/23)</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">For students who have completed Acting II or equivalent. This class offers the next level in challenging material through a variety of small scenes and monologues focusing on character, objective, and needs of the individual actor.</div>

<div class="ContentPasted0">*Please note this position is for a replacement instructor for the classes listed above and start date for teaching may vary based on date of hire.</div>

<div class="ContentPasted0">Requirements include: </div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• Possesses the proficiency (either through education and/or experience) to engage students of all abilities and teach concepts for specific courses taught.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• A combination of education, training and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in the art form is preferred. </div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• Bachelor or Master’s degree preferred. Individual’s working toward their degree in theater education may be considered.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• Experience Requirement: Extensive knowledge of art form and previous teaching experience (3-5 years) preferred.</div>
<div class="ContentPasted0">• Employees must pass a background check.</div>
