audiences to make an effort to cross racial lines in friendship and

engaging, substantive, and often humorous dialogue, audiences are kept actively
engaged and ready to participate in the post-show discussion. The call to
action is inspiring because of—rather than in spite of—its willingness to call
out difficulties while encouraging audiences to continue to make an effort to
cross racial lines in friendship and work toward greater equity.<span></span></span></p>

lead role of “Debbie” in this Lorain County production is played by Lydia Lee,
actor and singer based in Elyria. She hopes to serve, encourage, and inspire
community members to embrace the best parts of themselves and aspire to
[achieving] their dreams and goals for the benefit of everyone. <span></span></span></p>
