Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its summer concert series with Opera under the Stars with regional opera professionals on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 7 pm at Medina's Uptown Park. Enjoy
some of your favorite opera tunes, as well as lesser-known works. Also, relish some beloved melodies from operettas and musicals.

About the Musicians
Daniel Mullins is Lecturer of Piano at The Ohio State University, where he serves as pianist and coach for the opera program. He is also an active freelance collaborative pianist, working with voice students at OSU and
serving as pianist for the Columbus Children’s Choir. Originally trained as a violinist, Mullins earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in violin performance and string pedagogy from Ohio University. He later completed a Master of Music in collaborative
piano at the University of Northern Colorado in 2023. An experienced collaborator since 2008, he has partnered with singers and instrumentalists in recitals, masterclasses, competitions, and opera productions. His operatic pianist credits include works by
Mozart, Puccini, Handel, Haydn, Weill, and Guettel.
Soprano, Skye Marie Johnson, is a noted storyteller and singing actor, praised for “Running a huge emotional gamut from elation to despair.” (South Florida Classical Review) She has engaged audiences as Violetta Valery
in Verdi’s La Traviata, The Governess in The Turn of the Screw, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Cendrillon in Massenet’s Cendrillon, and Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza. Ms. Johnson placed Second in the 2025
AIMS Meistersinger Competition in Graz, Austria, and the Nightingale Opera Theatre Competition, and won The Ohio State University 2024 Concerto Competition and the 2025 OSU Wilson Voice Competition. She has performed with such companies as Clyde Opera Group,
Opera Columbus, Opera Project Columbus, and Dayton Performing Arts Alliance.
Mezzo-soprano Megan Steiner has been hailed by the LA Times for her “rich mezzo-soprano” and “wondrously convincing theatrical flair” as well as by Opera Today for her “plummy mezzo-soprano that can convey the sound of
pain absorbed.” Her rich vocal quality and powerful stage presence have earned her roles including the title role of Carmen, Herodias (Salome), Azucena (Il trovatore), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Romeo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi),
and Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel). In recent seasons, she has performed roles at regional companies across the United States, including Livermore Valley Opera, Central City Opera, Fargo-Moorhead Opera, Pacific Opera Project, Pittsburgh Festival Opera,
and Opera Project Columbus. Her concert repertoire has boasted a wide array of musical tastes, such as the mezzo-soprano solo in Rossini’s Messa di Gloria, the soloist in Berio’s Folk Songs, and as Carmen in the Carmen Symphony. Upcoming
performances for Ms. Steiner include a house debut with Opera San Luis Obispo as well as a debut with the Cascade Symphony as the mezzo-soprano soloist in the Verdi Requiem.
