TRUENORTH CULTURAL ARTS SEEKING ADDITIONAL ENSEMBLE MEMBERS

to its Sweeney Todd – In Concert performance

TrueNorth Cultural Arts is seeking additional Ensemble Members to its Sweeney Todd – In Concert performance on October 26th at Stocker Center.   The Ensemble rehearses on Saturday mornings, 9:45 – 11:50 a.m. at TrueNorth Cultural Arts, 739-1 Moore Road in Avon Lake, located on the southeast corner of Moore Road and Pin Oak Parkway.  Rehearsals begin Saturday mornings, September 7th, continue each Saturday following (9.7, 9.14, 9.21, 9.28, 10.5, 10.12, 10.19).  On Sunday, 10.20, there will be an additional rehearsal, Sitzprobe with Orchestra; followed by a final Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday 10.23.  For those wanting to be in a show but cannot afford the time, this is a 2-month commitment, one day per week.   Come join the fun!

Attend the dark, witty and Tony Award-winning tale of love, murder and revenge the weekend before Halloween. With Stephen Sondheim’s music and lyrics, some of the most chilling ever written for the stage, “Sweeney Todd” is sure to thrill and delight. The musical is based on the 1973 play by Christopher Bond, which was inspired by the apparently true story of a murderous barber in London in the 1790s. The concert version of “Sweeney Todd” began life during a sold-out weekend engagement at Lincoln Center. San Francisco marked the concert’s next engagement, and a mounting at Chicago’s Ravinia Festival followed.

TrueNorth’s concert version will feature the TrueNorth Chorale, Chamber Orchestra and TNCA Actors who have graced TrueNorth productions throughout its 20-year history.
