AUDITIONS  at Workshop Players 
Forever Plaid by Stuart Ross

Synopsis: "1960's male harmony quartet Forever Plaid returns from the hereafter to perform the show they never got to before they met their untimely demise. Featuring such great 50's & 60's hits like "Three Coins in the Fountain", 
"Cry", "Sixteen Tons" and "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing", "Forever Plaid" is sure-fire family fun for music and theater lovers of all ages."

Audition Dates:  Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21 1:00 at Workshop Players Theater

Rehearsals dates and times to be determined based on actor availability but may begin as early as late October / early November to best work around the holiday.

* Auditionees are asked to bring two songs of contrasting style that show off their vocal range. Musical theatre selections and/or 50-60s selections in the style of the show are all appropriate and welcome.  You MAY sing songs from “Forever Plaid” if you prefer, though it is not required.  A score from the show will be available for accompaniment.
* Please bring sheet music in the correct key or your own prerecorded accompaniment. All auditionees will also be taught a short dance audition, so dress for movement.
* Auditionees may be asked to cold read from the script. You may be asked to stay to read additional scenes.  This may also happen at callbacks.
* There will be callbacks – schedule tbd.

Needed - 4 Males - Characters:
Frankie   The leader and caretaker of the group. Confident. Asthmatic. He has a great deal of compassion for the music and the group. Romantic crooner and spiritual singer.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: B5 / bottom: F3
Jinx   The shy one. He lives his life terrified and doesn't always remember what song comes next. Sparky's step-brother, he occasionally gets a nosebleed when he sings above an A.  Age: 18-30. Vocal range top: D6 / bottom: F3
Sparky   The clown of the group. Very sharp and loves singing his tailor-made solos. Wears a retainer and has a slight speech impediment. Energetic and clever.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: G5 /bottom: F3
Smudge  The worrier. He worries about the props, the running order, and always assumes the audience won't like him. Has chronic nervous stomach and is oddly reluctant to perform. Wears
glasses, which hides his good looks and sex appeal.  Age: 18-30.  Vocal range top: G5 /bottom: F3
