The
Parma Symphony Orchestra presents their holiday concert on Sunday ,December 3 at 3pm at Valley Forge
High School in Parma Heights. The concert features Alexander Wasserman
performing Piano Concerto No. 3 by
Rachmaninoff. Also on the programs is Adagio from Spartacus by
Khachatarian, Spanish Dances by Moszkowski and a collection of Holiday
Favorites. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and
senior citizens. Family passes of $20 are available for families of up to
2 adults and their children. All tickets are available at the door
beginning at 2:30 PM.
Alexander Wasserman, a native of Los Angeles, began formal
piano studies with Suzanne Julian. He received degrees in Piano Performance
from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music (BM), the
Cleveland Institute of Music (MM), and the Peabody Institute of the Johns
Hopkins University (GPD). Most recently, he completed the prestigious Doctor of
Musical Arts program in Piano Performance at the Cleveland Institute of
Music. Dr. Wasserman currently resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife,
Jessica Oudin, a member of the Atlanta Symphony viola section.
