This classic story is set in 1935, with Scout and her brother, Jem, being raised by their widowed father, Atticus, and a strong-willed housekeeper, Calpurnia. Rising tensions in the community lead Scout to question the cause. She learns from her father that the tensions stem from his legal defense of a young Negro wrongfully accused of a grave crime. This play explores the racial tensions of the early 20th-century South and applauds the strength of those who fight injustice.
Tickets for the Western Campus dates are $10 for Adults, $8 for Tri-C Faculty/Staff,
