All are welcome to attend the Fair Play Project at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060 on Thursday, May 9th at 7:00 pm. This is a free performance and open to all.
Under the direction of Tammy Palermo, students from Riverside Theatre and Memorial Middle School Theatre have been working together to write scenes in the style of Theatre of the Oppressed by Augusto Boal. This is a form of interactive theatre intended to transform lives as spectators become performers, acting out solutions to social problems that the students have created in their scenes.
The social problems have been taken from the United Methodist Social Principles and include Hunger & Poverty, Gambling, the Death Penalty, and Women & Girls and Men & Boys.
