Greetings!
Just wanted to let you know that we will be having our October meeting of the Puppetry Guild of Northeastern Ohio this week. We will meet on Sunday October 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM, at Grace Presbyterian church: 1659 Rosewood Avenue, Lakewood.
We are a very unique group of puppetry enthusiasts. We have members that are full-time, professional puppeteers, theater professionals, librarians, storytellers, collectors, writers, childcare specialists, and more!
Our program for the day will include a presentation by Dr. Sharon Peck, head of Children's Literature at SUNY Geneseo. Sharon will be driving in from Rochester, NY, to present a workshop on "Table top Puppetry With Children's Literature." She is the former regional director of the Northeast Region of Puppeteers of America.
We will have "Show & Tell". So feel free to bring any puppet related item.
We will have the swap table set up. So, if you have any unwanted puppets, books, etc. that you want to get rid of, feel free to bring it so that it can find a new home.
We will have refreshments.
Also: don't forget a donation to the church's soup kitchen.
If anyone needs an application for this years Puppeteers Potlatch event, I will have some available at the meeting.
