It's a double dose of Alfred Hitchcock - and author Daphne Du Maurier

Rebecca is the Lux Radio Theatre adaptation of Hitch's Academy Award-winning 1940 film about a vulnerable young woman who marries a wealthy man with a mysterious past - and a strange connection to his late first wife.

The second half of the program is ROTLT's adaptation of The Birds. Subtitled An Audio Deconstruction. We've taken Daphne Du Maurier's source material and stripped it down to the bare essentials of actors, sound effects and audio from various media. This is a project we first developed as part of Cleveland Public Theatre's Soft Launch program in January 2025.

The performances will be followed by a discussion with the cast and crew. The show will be recorded for broadcast on WBWC 88.3 The Sting at a later date as part of ROTLT's ongoing series Radio on the Lake Theatre Presents... Sunday evenings at 5.

Tickets for the Audio Gallery Series are $15 and are on sale through Eventbrite.

The Audio Gallery Series is made possible by support

from The Cleveland Foundation and Ohio Arts Council.
