The 2022 fall season at Mapleside Farms is upon us. 

We are seeking 5-10 actors for our one-act outdoor kids’ show, “The Princess and the Pumpkin.” Rehearsals will begin the week of August 29th with the show opening September 17th and running 7 performances per day on Saturdays and Sundays through October 30th.  There is hourly pay for performance days and all actors will double as puppeteers as well. We are looking to cast the following roles:

Princess Melrose (18-28) The beautiful daughter of King Orchard, she lives for nature, fun and adventure, confident, grounded, but innocent.

Patch Greenleaf (25-30ish) Handsome, fit, farm hand, smart, good comedic timing, in a relationship with Princess Melrose

Jackolyn Turn (30's - 60ish) - Attractive, conniving, manipulative. Love interest of the doddering but kind King Orchard (already cast)

Paisley Pumpkin (18-30) Energetic, Spastic, fun, comedic, communicates through pantomime

Puppeteer – Experience helpful but will train the right candidate

Callbacks, if necessary, will be via Zoom on Friday, August 26th, with casting posted on Saturday, August 27th.
