Director of Marketing

 

The Director of Marketing will report to Great Lakes Light Opera’s Executive Director. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Writing and distributing press releases for productions and public educational programming

·         Attracting media attention and garnering press coverage for the Great Lakes Light Opera’s events

·         Designing and creating print materials for distribution

·         Maintaining the Great Lakes Light Opera’s website

 

Required qualifications:

Marketing experience required. Detail oriented, self-sufficient, creative, positive and assertive attitude.  Proficient in MS word, articulate verbal and written communication skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks at once and ability to think quickly on your feet.  

 

Preferred skills:

Graphic design, public relations experience.

 

Time commitment:

5 hours per week, flexible schedule

 

Compensation:

Volunteer position with opportunity for growth. Successful candidates may earn bonuses through commissions and/or grant-writing, up to $10k per year.
