Making a Murderer is
a documentary series that tells the true tale of a man who was convicted of a crime he may or may not have committed. TV shows like Dateline NBC and 20/20 often
reconstruct crimes to try and get to the truth behind the story.
In the same way, Parade attempts to shed light
on a real-life tragedy that happened a century ago but is just as fascinating as today's headlines. The celebrated stage musical chronicles the fate of a Jewish factory manager who was wrongly accused of killing a young employee in 1913.
Although the verdict seems obvious, history has proven that people can -- and do -- get away with murder. Parade offers
viewers an opportunity to make their own conclusions about the crime that's slowly being dissected in front of them. Audience members in effect become the jury, presented with the facts of the case and given a chance to determine the protagonist's innocence
or guilt before learning of his ultimate fate…
