Carpenter
Cleveland Play House (LORT B, C, and D), America’s first regional theatre and
recipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is accepting applications a
Properties Carpenter. CPH produces a 7 show main stage season, a children’s tour
and 2 shows with the Case Western Reserve University MFA acting program.
The Properties Carpenter applicant should have 1-3
years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre. Detailed
knowledge of advanced woodworking required.
Some metal working and welding. Working knowledge of mechanics a
plus. Must be
able to plan projects and work independently, have good organizational and
communication skills, and be able to assist the Properties Master with general
props craftwork. Props Carpenter is
primarily responsible for construction of furniture and large props. Also maintains
shop tools and equipment as well as hardware, lumber and metal inventories.
Valid driver’s license, able to work at heights and to lift up to 50 lbs. Position is Full-time Seasonal,
eligible for benefits. Engagement runs
